Guidelines - Project Imports

As per the Project Imports Regulations, 1986 and subsequent amendments there on, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries is the sponsoring authority for project imports relating to Food Processing industry. All food products related projects including cold storage, cold room (including farm level pre-cooling) or industrial projects for preservation, storage or processing of agricultural, apiary, horticultural, dairy, poultry, aquatic and marine produce and meat are permitted to be imported at a concessional customs duty as applicable from time to time.
